Kierney's Thoughts on Adoption

Kierney is 8 years old (9 next month!). She was just 5 when we began our foster-to-adopt journey in Indiana. She has been THRILLED about the idea of adoption since day one! She would like to share some of her thoughts with our family and friends, so this is the first (of what I'm sure will be many) blog entry written by her:

I would love to share my mom and dad with someone that needs a family.

I am excited about adopting. We were going to adopt before and now we are actually doing it. In Indiana we did the paperwork for adopting and when we moved, that dream crumbled into pieces. Now we are living the dream again!

I hope that the kid that we adopt has a lot in common with me like dancing, singing, drawing, reading, and swimming.

I like being a big sister. It is fun to get to do things with my brothers. I think it would be more fun with another kid in our family. I think that we will have a lot of fun. I cannot wait!!!!
