It's a BOY!

Oh, how I have DREAMED of writing this post for so many months! Our day to "get our match" finally came last Friday afternoon and after a conversation with our lovely contact, Mary Ann, at our agency and a review of a brief medical file, we said YES! Like, a million times, YES! This guy is the one!
What we know is that he's 8 months old (younger than we imagined we would be matched with), loves his bath time, and responds to his name, which happens to be Joon Woo (meaning "stay bright"). Yes, we even received some pictures already, but unfortunately, we can't share those with you just yet. He is absolutely beautiful and sounds like an active, happy, and healthy little boy.
What we don't know is how soon we will be able to travel to meet him or how soon we can bring him home. Now that our son has been identified, there is specific paperwork that we'll complete with the help of our agency and submit to Korea. We will wait for an assigned court date and at that time, we can plan to travel. This trip will include a court appearance and getting to meet Joon Woo! We will need a second court date to take custody and bring him home. Depending on how fast the courts are moving and what the travel regulations are at the time, we'll decide if one of us will stay and wait to take custody, making only one trip....or if we'll come back and make a second trip later.

Excited big sister and big brothers were ready to pick out some special gifts immediately!
THANK YOU for your faithful prayers, interest, financial support, moral support, and LOVE on our journey this far. It's been a longer wait than we expected, but we knew we'd say, "Well, that was worth waiting for." - which is just what Paul and I said to each other after our phone call Friday. While we still have some waiting to do, it feels so good to be moving forward - and to SEE our little son's face. More to come, soon!
