Whoops! I realized tonight that I posted an update on our GoFundMe page on Saturday and neglected to post it here as well. Here it is!
PROGRESS! So Paul got to take a little trip to the bank today to deposit all that mad money we made at our bake sale AND garage sale! Folks, I think we might just solve the national change shortage (and ONE DOLLAR BILLS)! He had a lot of ziploc baggies! Lol During this time, we have also had several generous donations from family and friends that have come to us through personal check, PayPal, Venmo...and even some sneaky anonymous friends at church passing us cash between services ;) All that to say, I am pumped to share that we've surpassed our 15k mark and are on pace to hit 20k soon! WOW! That's still a long way to go, but a lot closer to our goal than our GFM page shows - so I really wanted everyone following us through here to be aware of where we stand! THANK YOU!!! Every week, I am humbled by messages, cards, and just people reaching out to check on our home study, offer to help in some way, and to let us know that they are thinking of us and praying for us. The feeling of having people that have your back is indescribable. We are so, so grateful.
Our home study is still waiting on few final tasks. Once we knock those out and get that bad boy completed, I hope we can apply and qualify for some grant money. This will be especially important at that time because our finished home study will also mean we could be matched with our child...which is an expensive step in our process.
